In accordance with the decision taken by the Governing Body at its 347th Session (March 2023), the Meeting of Experts to revise the 1998 code of practice on safety and health in forestry work was held in Geneva from 13 to 17 May 2024. The Meeting was attended by seven experts from Governments, seven experts nominated by the Employers’ group and eight experts nominated by the Workers’ group of the Governing Body, as well as by Government observers. Observers from international non-governmental organizations also attended the meeting.
