The ILO Office for Türkiye is seeking expressions of interest from consultants for Cooperatives & Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) to facilitate and report the outcomes of the thematic workshop on “Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) as a Framework for Disadvantaged Groups”. This workshop will focus on transition from informal to formal employment, particularly for refugees seeking sustainable livelihoods in host countries with “Cooperatives” and SSE.
Based on the ILO’s experience as part of its interventions to strengthen Syrians under Temporary Protection, International Protection Applicants and Status Holders and host communities’ resilience through inclusive socio-economic development, the cooperatives’ promotion is a successful way to enable the target groups’ access to livelihood opportunities.

The ILO Office for Türkiye is seeking expressions of interest from consultants for facilitating and reporting the outcomes of the thematic workshop on “promoting labour rights and compliance certain industries: utilizing ILO tools and addressing new due diligence requirements”. This workshop will focus on understanding and complying with The ILO’s MNE Declaration, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and EU directives’ main principles and the road map on labour rights and due diligence.
The ILO, with its mandate to promote social justice and labour rights, offers guidelines to multinational enterprises, governments, and employers’ and workers’ organizations in such areas of employment training, conditions of work and life and industrial relations through the Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy.

The ILO Office for Türkiye is seeking expressions of interest from consultants to Decent Work & Non-Discrimination Strategy for Thematic Workshop: "Decent Work for All: Ensuring Social Justice in the Labour Market". This workshop will focus on highlighting the importance of decent work and fundamental principles and rights at work (FPRW) ensuring social cohesion and without discrimination.
Based on its close relationship with the Turkish Government over the years in strengthening the enabling environment for decent work and social justice, the ILO has supported refugees’ access to decent work opportunities since 2015 guided by a Programme of Support spanning over the years. The ILO adopted a comprehensive, holistic, and integrated Refugee Response Programme promoting short- and medium-term employment-rich measures.

The ILO Office for Türkiye is seeking expressions of interest from consultants to conduct trend analysis and theme creation, pattern design and technical and material research for sample studies to design a fabric collection using sustainable natural fibres such as linen, hemp, non-violent silk, and cotton to enable the EkoDoku cooperative to reach internal and external markets which will increase its member’s income and in the formal labour market.
The project’s overall objective is to strengthen the resilience and social cohesion of Syrians under Temporary Protection, International Protection Applicants and Status Holders and host communities in Türkiye by promoting access to decent work and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Based on the three complementing main pillars of the Project which are (a) investing in a skilled and competent labour supply (b) stimulating job creation and business development, job retention and (c) strengthening labour market governance institutions and enforcement, ILO Office for Türkiye has provided technical support for the income increase to EkoDoku Cooperative to sustainable textile, transition from informality to formality within the green economy.
