Access project dashboardThis project promotes inclusive markets and agricultural value chains that increase productivity and sustainable decent work opportunities for women and youth, particularly those with low incomes, in the Jordan Valley and Jericho.
Objectives
This project promotes inclusive markets and agricultural value chains that increase productivity and sustainable decent work opportunities for women and youth, particularly those with low incomes, in the Jordan Valley and Jericho. It will enable social and solidarity economic institutions, including cooperatives and SMEs, to become more competitive and sustainable; to benefit from decent work; to become stronger sources of family income and community development; and to help women reach more and higher types of work in value chains.
The project will benefit approximately 90 farmers, including at least 20 women and 10 youths, and a wider number of indirect beneficiaries in selected agricultural value chains. Through better access to information, skills, technology, technical expertise and markets, women and men engaged in agricultural work in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises will increase their incomes and contribute to agricultural development and food security in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
Main components
- Outcome 1: Inclusive value chain analysis and development in key agricultural sub-sectors is promoted.
- Outcome 2: Business linkages and partnerships are fostered for improved access to business services and markets for small producers and their cooperatives.
