France
France is a founding member State of the ILO and has ratified numerous Conventions, including the Fundamental Conventions. In addition to assessed contributions, France supports ILO objectives through its voluntary contribution to ILO’s development cooperation programme.
The aim of the ILO Office for France is to publicise, share, and support ILO's values and actions, and to make the most of the wealth of influence, experience, expertise and financial resources available in France.
To achieve this, it uses three main methods of intervention:
- Representation of the ILO in France
- Relations with French constituents and national and international political, economic and social stakeholders based in France who can support the organization.
- Analysis of political, economic and social developments, keeping the Organization updated, identifying and mobilising intellectual and financial resources for cooperation.
